ART IN FORT WORTH, TX

ART IN FORT WORTH, TX--Currently there are two major art exhibits going on in Fort Worth's Arts District: American Moderns on Paper & Andy Warhol.
The Amon G. Carter Museum is displaying American Moderns on Paper. On display are some of the best watercolors, pastels and drawing from American artists, including Stuart Davis, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andrew Wyeth. The exhibit was originally put together by the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT. The exhibit opened at the Amon on February 27, 2010 and runs through May 30, 2010. Like the rest of the museum, admission is free as well as parking at the Amon. The Amon Carter is located at 3501 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, TX 76107 and is open Tue/Wed/Fri/Sat from 10 AM-5PM, Thu from 10AM-8PM and Sun Noon-5PM. Also, the Modern Art Museum is hosting Andy Warhol's Last Decade, a compilation of 55 works from last 8 years of Warhol's life. The exhibit will continue to show through May 16, 2010 and admission is as follows: general-$10, students w/ ID & seniors (65+)-$4, children (12 and under) and Modern members- free. The museum is located at 3200 Darnell St., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Hours of operation are Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat 10AM-5PM and Sun 11AM-5PM. For more information visit the Modern's website.
